In this article, we'll walk you through the initial setup of your Traaqr account, linking it with Zoho CRM, and installing the Traaqr embed code on your website.
Step 0: Sign up for Traaqr
First, you'll need a Traaqr account. You can use the pricing page and phone number calculator to help determine which package is best for you. Don't worry - if you end up needing more phone numbers or minutes than your package includes, you can purchase them a la carte as your usage grows.
Step 1: Add the Traaqr embed code to your website
Log in to your Traaqr account and head to the Installation page. Copy the embed code from this page and add it to every page of your website - this is how Traaqr replaces the phone number on your website with your Traaqr phone numbers. This code needs to be present in the <head> section of every page, preferably in a global header for the site.
If you need help with this, talk to the person or department that handles your website.
After the embed code is installed, return to the Installation page and click the Refresh button. We'll let you know if the code has been installed correctly.
Step 2: Configure your Traaqr account
On the Settings page, you will want to configure (at a minimum) the Phone Endpoint setting. This is where we will send your incoming calls, and you can enter a SIP URL or a phone number.
You will also want to specify the Phone Number jQuery Selector. This is how you tell Traaqr where to replace the phone numbers on your site. You provide this to Traaqr as a jQuery selector. If you don't know what that is, we recommend talking to the person or department that handles your website.
Step 3: Add phone numbers to your Traaqr Account
You need to add phone numbers to your Traaqr account that we can use on your website. Phone numbers are automatically assigned to website visitors as they arrive.
To add phone numbers, go to the Phone Numbers page and click Add Numbers. We give you the choice of whether to add local or toll-free numbers to your account, but please note that local numbers and minutes use 1 credit per unit used, toll-free numbers & minutes use 2 credits per unit used. If you are purchasing local numbers, you have the option of specifying an area code, which we recommend.
Before we add numbers to your account, we'll let you know if you will incur any additional costs beyond the cost of your package.
Step 4: Connect to Your CRM
Follow the instructions here to link your Traaqr account to your CRM of choice.
Step 5 (Optional, but recommended): Connect Google Analytics and Adwords
Head over to the Integrations page to connect your Traaqr account to Google Analytics and Google Adwords. If connected, Traaqr will automatically track your conversions with these services.
